woodcut print
Monhegan Island in three values
Painted on canvas in three colors, black, blue, and white. Easy on the eyes. Can be framed as is in wood frame or matted and framed under glass in metal or wood. This is a scene created on site on the island, a beautiful artist colony, ten miles off the coast of Maine. Fantastic inexpensive lobster readily available on and off the island!
An oil painting of our quarter-horse, Mary. She would have been good at racing and was very spirited; but our children rode and exhibited her in 4-H shows. Measurements are 16x20. Lovely framed in a four inch Mexican frame with liner. Photo of painting framed and prices will be emailed to you if you send me your email address. Photograph does not show details and feet are shown in painting. (Photographed will be replaced with a better one as soon as I learn how to use my new camera!

CALADIUMS
Pastel kitten
KITTY KAT!
This kitten actually had two different colored eyes which I liked but I gave her blue. She was beautiful, friendly, and a little strange, but the poor little thing was sleeping inside the hood of a car and got cut when it's owner started the engine. We adopted her and she was definitely one of our favorites. The painting is pastel and is 16x20. It is tired of being on my living room wall and is being offered, frame and all for only $75, less than a third of regular price. If you love her, give her a home!

This painting is an 8x10 pastel on mitients paper; Paintings created "en plein air" (outdoors in front of the subject), have brighter colors and often more contrast between light and dark. I like the pastel look of this one.

Starting Over
I canceled my gmail account and there went my blog. Oh, well; I'll start again, this time trying to be concise. I spent most of my early life dancing, and still enjoy that, as well as, acting and singing. My focus since 1965, however has been painting and sculpting.
I have taught in public and private schools and galleries; have done portraits and other art work on consignment; been accepted into many juried shows; owned my own gallery; and have work in public and private collections in several states including NJ, GA, SC, VA, FL, and TX.
I create because I must. It is one way in which I share myself with others. It is an expression of what I see, think, and feel. I am at peace with myself and the world when I am creating works of beauty.
I will again be posting photos of my work, starting with the latest.

This painting is a pastel entitled, "Peaceful Seas." I especially enjoy seascapes and paint them also in oil, acrylic, and watercolor. This one is 8x10, matted and framed. Prices start at $95.
