I have been away so much for the past year that I have not been keeping up with anything. I am going to stay home and get more done for a while. A little more information about my art work follows:
I have been painting and sculpting for more than 50 years and use clay for sculpting and oil, watercolor, acrylic, and pastel for painting. I have exhibited and taught art in museums and galleries in SC, GA, FL, NJ and now Texas. I owned my own art gallery in Hartwell, Georgia for many years. I also taught in public schools off and on and retired in 2005. I continue to paint and sculpt and participate in many local shows.
In addition, I had an instructional book published in 1984 and am planning another soon.
Almost all of my work is for sale. My direct to you sales eliminate the commissions; so I can sell for 50-75% off gallery price. - I have four children and four grandchildren. I taught English, French, learning disabilities, and art in public schools and art in my own (Hartwell Fine Arts Center) and other galleries, including Anderson art Gallery. I was represented by a number of galleries including Tallulah Falls Gallery in Tallulah Falls, GA . I retired from teaching, but continue to produce, sell, and show my art. I am a member of several art societies including ECPA, PAA, Centex, and APS. I also wrote a basket weaving book which sold out, but has been used by craft magazines as an example of good instructional writing.
