This was one of my first portraits. It was painted using a sculpture of the 18th century monk, Savonarola. It was one of three oil portraits that I painted. I had previously sculpted the monk.

- I have four children and four grandchildren. I taught English, French, learning disabilities, and art in public schools and art in my own (Hartwell Fine Arts Center) and other galleries, including Anderson art Gallery. I was represented by a number of galleries including Tallulah Falls Gallery in Tallulah Falls, GA . I retired from teaching, but continue to produce, sell, and show my art. I am a member of several art societies including ECPA, PAA, Centex, and APS. I also wrote a basket weaving book which sold out, but has been used by craft magazines as an example of good instructional writing.
